  • Where did the name come from?

Perpetual Wednesday comes from my favorite television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In the fifth season episode "Triangle", Willow and Anya have just banished Olaf the Troll to an unknown dimension. It's not a stellar episode but I liked the Spike parts. Other dimensions were also discussed in the season four episode "Superstar" when Buffy wonders why Jonathon is so great. Here is the dialog in "Triangle":

Buffy: Where did you send him?
Anya: The land of the trolls. He'll like it there. Full of trolls.
Willow: It's hard to be precise, though. Alternate universes don't stay put. Trying to send him to a specific place is sort of like, like, trying to hit a puppy, by throwing a live bee at it. Which is a weird image, and you should all just forget it.
Anya: It's possible that he's in the land of perpetual Wednesday or the crazy melty land or, you know, the world without shrimp.
Tara: There's a world without shrimp? I'm allergic.
Willow: He, he's probably in troll land.
Buffy: I only care that he's not here, and I got this nifty souvenir.

    I used Perpetual Wednesday because it always seems like it is the middle of the week and the weekend will never come. You have to do work and/or school today because you probably procrastinated on Monday and Tuesday and if you do not do anything now, it won't get done. But Wednesdays are also great because we just had a new Buffy and Angel. You can go online and read what everyone is saying, read some great fanfiction that fixes the crap that ME just messed up, and watch your tapes again. Plus it's hump day {wink, wink, nudge, nudge}

  • Where did Flash Mission come from?

Flash Mission comes from another one of my favorite shows, La Femme Nikita. In one of my favorite episodes in season three, "Cat and Mouse", Nikita has been kidnapped by Dominic Garsha and a fake Nikita, Abby, was sent into Section One in her place to get information with a bonus of screwing Michael and Birkoff. Later, Nikita finds her perfect opportunity to let Michael know that something is wrong and that Abby is not her. Garsha thinks that Michael and Nikita are a couple but we all know that they have never really been a couple so when Abby suggests that they meet up for their weekly dose of lovin, Michael knows that something is up. After Abby shags Michael, they get called in for a Flash Mission and there is where they arrest Abby. Here is the dialog:

Garsha: What is a flash mission?
    Nikita: Short notice protocol.
    Garsha: Meaning?
Nikita: Mission profiles are distributed on the way out.
Garsha: So there's no way to get one in advance?
    Nikita: That's right.

  • Where I am hosted at?

I bought this site from discount-hosting.com for $10 a year. Yes that is not a typo. I really mean $10 a year. I get 50 MB of space and 5 GB of bandwidth. BUT there is a price to pay for this. I do not get any technical support at all. None. Only a little message board to help. I also can not have CGI. I only have one FTP access so I cannot host anyone. There is no web interface to upload or look at your site. Everything must be FTP'ed. You also have to have a domain name purchased already. But I know how to use ftp since my first site at f2s used only ftp. I also have had no problems yet so I have not had the need for technical support. When I want to do bigger and better things maybe I'll move.

  • Where I got the domain name from?

I purchased the name Perpetual Wednesday and Flash Mission from PowerPipe.com
